NRK tapte saken. Les dommen fra Oslo Tingrett her (pdf). NRK anker saken.

For our English-speaking readers: This lady was in a movie called "Burnt by Frost". Another movie parodied a somewhat infamous sex scene in that movie. People laughed. To illustrate what it was a parody of, a show on Norway's public TV channel NRK showed the scene from the original movie.

The scene in question show miss Mauseth in a boat full of fish, making love to a man. On the fish. There is a short moment of full frontal nudity.

So what's the problem? Mauseth had a clause in her contract with the film company limiting the use of that specific scene. So she sues NRK for showing it. NRK, strangely enough, loses. The case is now appealed by NRK.

The possible ramifications of this case are clear: At its core lies freedom of speech, journalistic rights etc. Mauseth had a contract with the film company -- not NRK. The creators had nothing to do with them showing the clip.
